The ‘punch dialogues’, which had become synonymous with many of Rajni’s films for more that a decade-and-a-half, are sprinkled in plenty in his latest offering ‘Enthiran: The Robot’ by director Shankar, it is learnt. The highlight of all those dialogues, it is said, would be the dialogue uttered by Rajni which goes like this: ‘Arthasasthiram Unga Vazhi; Dharmasasthiram En Vazhi’ [meaning you follow the Arthasasthra (ancient book on politics) while I follow the Dharma Sasthra (rule of honesty)].
‘Enthiran’, to be the most expensive film ever made in any Indian languages, would also be the country’s first stereoscopic 3-D film too. This technique has been used to prevent video piracy and also to ensure that the fans get to enjoy the wonderful and amazing computer-generated graphics sequences in the film in 3-D technology and only on big-screen. This work alone is expected to take four full months for the technicians to complete.
Graphics are handled by Hollywood’s Stanvinston Studios, which handled the graphics in ‘Titanic’ fame James Cameroon’s latest film ‘Avatar’. The theatres which would be screening ‘Enthiran’ are also being spruced up to adjust to the stereoscopic 3-D technique with liberal help from producer Sun Pictures.
The film reportedly has many politically-coloured punch dialogues as well as ‘political lyrics’. Most of the ‘punch dialogues’ would be uttered by the Robot Rajni and not the actual (scientist) Rajni. Besides these, a hot lyric penned by Naa Muthukumar would also be present in the film which would take to task the present political system in the country.
Samples of the lyrics are as under:
‘Vaazhkai koduppavan vaakkalan….vaakkarisi podubavan vetpaalan’ (The voters give the candidate his life who gives them death in return)
‘Arasiyalil endrumae naan nirayudhapaani’ (I’m always unarmed in politics)
‘Arthasasthiram Unga Vazhi; Dharmasasthiram En Vazhi’
